The Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation presents; Portraits of Valor. We would like to introduce a series of feature stories that truly summarize what Great Americans is all about. These are the stories of Medal of Honor recipients from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. They are the men who went above and beyond the call of duty to save the lives of others. While their heroism is undeniable each and every story is also punctuated by humility.

This should be made mandatory watching for every AMERICAN in high school!!!!! Maybe then we could develop a generation that would understand what sacrifices have been made for their freedom today.

I would like to thank the Veterans of all the wars for their heroism and their undeniable bravery and to all the ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you all and God bless you! My husband was in the Navy, two of my sons were in the Army and my brother was in the Marines. None of them were in any serious combat except for my brother He was in Vietnam when his bunker took a direct hit he was almost killed. All of his men were killed. He was never the same when he got home. He is now deceased and I miss him so.
