Drew Dix was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in Chau Doc Province, South Vietnam in January of 1968. Many people have heard of the Tet offensive, but few grasp the scope and influence of the operation conducted by the skilled and prepared enemy in Vietnam. Drew Dix was led a small team back into the city of Chau Doc, which had been completely overrun. Gathering troops and resources along the way Dix orchestrated the recapture of the city and a dramatic rescue operation during the heat of battle.
