Police Chase Suspect "Armed & Danger... 1:27
Date: December 27, 2006. Time: around 6-7 PM
Location: Bellevue, Washington
Redmond Police pursued a robbery suspect into Bellevue where Bellevue Police and Washington State Patrol also got in on the car chase. The suspect was, ". . . considered armed and dangerous" (Seattle PD dispatch). The getaway vehicle, a white minivan, did make contact with three vehicles while fleeing from police, but thankfully all of them were non-injury. The suspect bailed near NE 8th St and 143rd Ave NE after hitting a tree in the Bellevue Aquatic Center parking lot. There was a major police search/perimeter set up: about a dozen police cars, multiple K9 units, and two police vans. Police were checking doors, shining their flash lights under cars, in bushes, and checking with local businesses to make sure they were aware of what was happening. One Bellevue police K9 officer yelled for me to stop and let him past on the street and told me to not go any closer to the scene of the accident (which I unintentionally was heading towards). Unfortunately the suspect was not caught and got away with some narcotics from a Redmond pharmacy.
