The magnitude 7.6 earthquake that struck Pakistan on October 8th 2005 was the country's worst natural disaster in history. Over 73,000 people were killed. 3.5 million were left homeless with winter rapidly approaching. During OPERATION LIFELINE US Forces: Flew 5,204 relief missions, Evacuated 3,752 Pakistanis, Delivered 14,831 tons of humanitarian aid, Treated 34,914 patients, Removed 2,342 truckloads of debris, Immunized over 30,000 Pakistanis, Built 56 SEAHUTS, Constructed over 70 shelters from recycled debris.
